Bape x Evisu = Artful Dodger NY?

Is Artful Dodger a Bape x Evisu hybrid? Are Artful Dodger clothes for people who can’t afford genuine Bape and Evisu? Some fashion commentators have been throwing these suggesting around and some fashionistas have been blindly nodding in agreement.

In reality, Artful Dodger is neither a hybrid nor an economy label. Artful Dodger clothes are highly original and are not immersed in Bape style Hip-Hop Culture but have a genuine and unique flavor of their own: “Artful Dodger is best described as a European, contemporary men’s street wear line. Though urban casual, it’s the opposite of the baggy oversized hip-hop look associated with American street wear.”

The Artful Dodger x Evisu comparison is perhaps even more bogus. Artful Dodger jeans may have extravagant and ornate “oriental” detailing but there is no dominant logo engineered into the design and style-structure as with the Evisu gull-wings. Despite the need for some fashion commentators to pigeon whole and stratify, Artful Dodger is a unique brand — and whether you like the style or not it at least deserves recognition for its originality.

"Irregular choice is more than just a name.
It's a state of mind.
A way of being."

Abigail party Shoe

Irregular Choice is not on an academic mission to fit with trends – more to break with convention. The idea is to make you look twice, with garnishing and detail that any wedding cake would be proud of. Each collection has its own cornucopia of references often far removed from the main fashion pack, designed to appeal to totally individual Irregular souls.

iPod Nano goes RED
Tuesday, 17th October 2006____________________xx

Gap isn't the only company getting on the (Product) Red bandwagon. Now, Apple is contributing to the cause with its lovely red 4 GB iPod Nano Red. The Red initiative, which Bono discussed during his appearance on Oprah, was launched by the U2 singer and Bobby Shriver to raise money for and awareness of HIV/AIDS in Africa. When you buy the special-edition red Nano, Apple will contribute $10 from your purchase price to the Global Fund, which funds AIDS research and drug distribution in Africa.

The color-screen gadget holds up to 1,000 songs in a stunning red aluminum enclosure. It's a great size if you only buy one iPod, but if you already have one of the larger versions, it also makes a great auxiliary gadget for jogging or other activities.

You can get the iPod Nano (Product) Red $199 here.

Bluetooth Watch
Thursday, 5th October 2006____________________xx

Sony Ericsson has designed a Bluetooth watch, the MBW-100, which lets you control your mobile phone without taking it out of your pocket.

The MBW-100 is not as chunky and ugly as other Bluetooth watches that have come out in the market in recent times, the MW-100 features a stainless steel construction with silver facia.

A tiny OLED display under the analogue watch face tells you who’s calling you while your mobile is stashed away. You can choose to reject the call by pressing one of the keys.

It also notifies you when you’ve received a text message, and when you’ve gone out of range of Bluetooth connection with your mobile. You can also control MP3 playback through the watch.

Although at first glance it may seem like a lazy way of operating your mobile, it’s ideal for when you’re in a crowded, noisy place and can’t hear your phone or feel it vibrating.

The MBW-100, which was developed in conjunction with Fossil, is expected to retail for around €300 when it goes on sale later this year.
